Gordon Martin : Wealth Advisor


Dating from 1979, Gordon Martin provides prudent clients with over 35 years of experience.  Strong values, persistence and steadfast character are the corner stones of Gordon’s career. He has deep and broad experience advising investors who are accumulating, growing, and finally, using their investments during retirement.

In 1972 Gordon graduated from Puget Sound University in Tacoma, Washington, with a degree in Business Administration.  

From 1973 through 1976 Gordon was an administrative assistant at Timberlane Lumber Co, a lumber wholesaler in Eugene Oregon.

In 1976 through 1979 Gordon worked as a loan officer with Citizens Bank of Oregon in Eugene, Oregon.

In 1979 Gordon received his initial training in personal investment consulting at Smith Barney in New York City.  He returned to Eugene and entered a partnership with his brother, King Martin, where they worked together at Smith Barney and Shearson until Gordon opened his private office in 1990 where he continues to advise clients today.

Born and raised in Eugene, Oregon, Gordon’s family has deep roots in Oregon.  His great, great grandfather, Thomas Condon, was one of the first of only three professors who helped found the University of Oregon.  Condon Fossil Beds near John Day, Oregon are named after Thomas Condon for his many contributions to the sciences of archeology and anthropology.

Gordon has two happy and successful children, Garrett and Jennifer.  He enjoys sharing his love of technical skiing, mountaineering and fly fishing with them.
